Green and Main in Sustainable Sites Initiative

The Green and Main retrofit project has been selected to participate in the Sustainable Sites Initiative (SITES). It is the first project in Iowa to be selected for the initiative, which is the nation’s first rating system for green landscape design, construction and maintenance. The Green and Main project is the retrofit of a historic commercial building in the Sherman Hill District of Des Moines, IA. The Center for Building Energy Research is a partner in the project.
