MIDAS Training Summary
The first midas training session consisted of the following topics:
- Introduction to Midas
- Components used in data acquisition systems
- Vendors of Midas Components
- Types of sensors used
- How sensors work
- Overview of a Datalogger
- The job of a Datalogger
- Basics of Programming
- Programming a Datalogger with Short-Cut
The aim of the first training session is to get users of midas acquainted with the basic concepts of electrical engineering that are necessary to understand how a data acquisition system works.
Key concepts of the training were: Ohms law, which modeled how some sensors work, wiring sensor, an introduction to dataloggers, and an introduction to programming and the CR-basic programming language.
